Two Door Cinema Club are a well known indie/alternative band of a similar audience to Little Comets. I have looked at their video for their song 'Something Good Can Work' which there is a link to above this text. I particularly like the fast paced editing of this video so I have used tubechop to select a small 9 second clip to show exactly what I mean. I don't think our editing will be as fast as this as our scenes are a lot more detailed and complex than a simple white studio layout demonstrated in this video.
The only problem I have personally with this video is the cross-colour use of black and white (greyscale) and colour. We will not be using a technique like this as we think it looks too 'pop-esque', reminding us of something from the 90's like a Steps or S Club 7 video... This is not the genre or audience we are aiming to produce our video for. This colour only works with TDCC's video due to their fast paced cuts in editing as it distracts the audience from the black and white / colour mix.
What I have learnt from looking at this text is that the fast paced editing is appealing to audiences as this video has had over 7 million views on YouTube; it is also a memorable video as it has no fancy disjuncture or illustrative pattern to it, it is solely a performance music video.
