Taking the photos for the Digipak

Firstly the album cover, for this photo i decided to use a film camera that i found round my house, the reason for this is that you can use apps on the iPhone like instrgrm and hipstermatic but i wanted to get a genuine feel rather than a edited/made one. For the model in it i used my cousin who lives in cornwall and got her to dress in clothes i found from when my mother was younger. The strength of all three elements made for a photo that looked like it was straight from the eighties.

After taking the photo i had the task of getting it on the computer, i could of got the film developed at anywhere and scanned it into the computer but i decided to go to 'Jacobs' a camera shop in Leicester that when the develop film they also put the pictures onto a disk which meant i could  easily put the image into photoshop to lay text over it. I did have a play with the lighting and colour correcting to give it the final touch.

For the middle of the album i used a photo i took on holiday when we went on a cruise which is how i got a wide angle of the shore, unfortunately i used a digital camera which meant it did turn out a bit 'modern' and light so i had to carefully change the colour of the picture so it looked like the one from the cover and i feel i did this to my advantage.
