This is my final draft of my digipak for The Skeleton Boy's album Run. I have tried to use continuity throughout the album by using similar ideas, colours and fonts and each panel. I think the black background and bright colours contrast well because it makes everything in on the panel stand out. I have tried to represent each band member as a skeleton. It should be clear who they are on the front in the order they are standing because that's the order they will always be in when together. I have tried to distinguish Georgia as the female by putting her as red, and the 3 males in more masculine or even unisex colours. However, when the digipak is opened up the first skeleton is Steve, who is blue, because he still needs to be the main focus and stand out the most between him and Georgia. I created it on Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 and I will be honest and say I did struggle. I also tried to incorporate the idea that all other digipaks have, that is a lyric book. However, we obviously don't have enough time to do this so I decided to quite certain songs that are on the album. Even though my skills in the software are miles better than last year when I had never even used it before, there are tasks I still struggle with and to get the best result for my final digipak I am going to make myself practice inbetween the time.
Overall, I am quite pleased with the outcome. However, I feel as though I have gone a completely different way to the rest of my group which shows maybe I haven't researched the genre well enough to create an indie digipak. When it comes to making the final idea, I think I will perhaps try and change this idea by making the inside panels more exciting OR my idea might change to be like the rest of my groups so I go a completely different way and use images of objects, people and the band.
